In the second quarter of this year, a recovery in air freight costs has again
been postponed. These costs were already too high at the beginning of
2022 and there is no recovery in sight for the time being. Sea freight rates
are still many times more expensive and continue to have a negative impact
on prices and delivery times for goods from China.
Consumer electronics manufacturers and the automotive industry, as well as
other sectors, are still feeling the massive shortage of components. When
the situation with components eases again, printed circuit boards will become
more expensive and have longer delivery times, since consumer electronics
manufacturers and the automotive industry will have to work off large backlogs
with their order volumes. This should definitely be taken into account when
procuring printed circuit boards.
Our transport times are currently around 2 weeks for air freight and our current
production time is 2 to 3 weeks.
